The Prosecutors General of the Baltic Sea Region focus their work on prosecution-related issues such as: the mutual legal assistance and extradition in criminal matters, trafficking in human beings; and environmental crime in the Baltic Sea Region.
The 13th Conference of Public Prosecutors General of the Baltic Sea States met on the 30 September - 2 October 2009 in the Hanseatic City of Lübeck, hosted by the Federal Ministry of Justice, the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry for Justice, Labour and European Affairs, and the Ministry of Justice of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
