OUR GOAL: Become a leading region on education for sustainable development and eco-innovations.

The Baltic Sea Region is home to a large number of highly educated people as well as excellent research institutions. Our Region is often considered as leading globally in the development and distribution of eco-innovations. But, we can become even better!

Societies that base their policies on sustainability will have an advantage in tackling future economic, social and environmental challenges. That is why we want sustainable development to be a part of all levels of education. By intensifying the transfer of knowledge, from preschools to universities, we hope to take education for sustainable development to the next level — in the whole Baltic Sea Region.

OUR ACTIONS:

• Enhancing education for sustainable development by promoting transdisciplinarity and new teaching methods and develop new study material;
• Facilitating knowledge transfer and supporting cooperation between educational institutions;
• Spearheading initiatives for the uptake of eco-innovations in small and medium sized enterprises.
