This year’s PSF call focused on projects that put safety and security at the centre of Baltic Sea cooperation and strive to strengthen the resilience of the region.
The ultimate goal of the CBSS long-term priority ‘Safe and Secure Region’ is to make everyone feel safe in every corner of our region. This can be achieved by strengthening the civil security and protection systems in the countries in the region, and by doing so in a coherent way – through cooperation.
We appreciate the effort and would like to thank this year’s applicants for the 12 eligible, high quality projects we received. 5 were chosen by our Committee of Senior Officials to be rewarded funding of up to 65 000 Euros. The selected projects focused on preventing child and labour trafficking), increasing citizen participation – especially youth – in improving safety measures and strengthening overall cooperation between policy makers, agencies, charities and NGOs active in the region.
