The 28th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference and the CBSS High-Level Meeting on Labour will take place next week in Stortinget in Oslo, Norway.
On Monday 26th of August, Ministers and high-ranking representatives of the Labour Ministries of the CBSS Member States will meet in Oslo to discuss the follow-up and implementation of the Berlin Declaration from 2017, focusing on the future of work, demographic challenges and a sustainable inclusive labour market in the Baltic Sea Region. The High-Level Meeting is a continuation of the successful meeting in Berlin two years ago. The meeting will be chaired by CBSS Director General Amb. Maira Mora.
Between 25-27 August, 200 parliamentarians and experts from around the Baltic Sea Region will gather in Oslo to participate in the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC). The themes of this year’s conference are clean oceans and the future of working life. The conference serves as a forum for discussion and information exchange between parliaments and governments.
The conference will be opened by H.E. Tone Wilhelmsen Trøen, President of the Storting and Audun Halvorsen, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway. Ida Heimann Larsen, current Chair of the CBSS Committee of Senior Officials under the Danish Presidency and Amb. at Large Juris Bone, Chair of the CBSS Committee of Senior Officials during the Latvian Presidency will deliver a report on behalf of the CBSS.
