2nd Policy Forum on Climate Change Adaptation in the Baltic Sea Region

10 – 11 September 2013 Stockholm, Briggen Tre Kronor, Kastellholmen, Sweden

 

The event brought together stakeholders from different levels of governance and sectors working on climate change and adaptation from all countries in the Baltic Sea Region.

It was jointly organized by CBSS-Baltic 21 as incoming Leader of the Horizontal Action Sustainable Development in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, EUSBSR and the Swedish Ministry for the Environment.

In the focus of the 2nd Policy Forum was the work on the 1st draft proposal for the Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and it accompanying Action Plan as called for in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region Action Plan.

In several interactive working sessions, participants of the Forum were invited to give input to the two documents provided by the partners of the Baltadapt project

The meeting was opened by the State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry of the Environment, Mr Anders Flanking
